Can I Include More Than One Material (e.g. breastmilk and umbilical cord)?
Yes! We are happy to craft jewelry that incorporates multiple materials (such as ashes, breastmilk, hair, fur, or umbilical cord pieces). Combining these materials allows you to tell a complete story within a single, wearable memory.
How should I ship multiple materials to you?
To ensure the safety of each material, please place each material in a separate, securely sealed bag and label them clearly. Write your name, order number, and the specific material (e.g., "Breastmilk" or "Umbilical Cord") on the outside of each individual container or bag before placing them together in your shipping package.
We also recommend potentially double bagging certain materials to protect them further during the delivery process, in case of possible damage to your shipping package.
Will the materials be mixed together or kept separate in the jewelry?
This depends on the design you choose and your personal preference. Some settings allow us to place different inclusions side-by-side in distinct sections, while other designs have the materials mixed together within the same stone area. The placement and visibility of materials will be entirely up to our customers.
Will I be able to see if my materials are used?
This will depend on what materials you want in your jewelry, and the level of visibility you choose for specific materials. For example, if you ordered a piece of ashes jewelry, you are able to select whether you want the ashes to be highly visible, somewhat visible, or not visible at all.
For the choice of not visible ashes and other jewelry keepsakes where you cannot see the material, we once again ask you to trust us in handling your order with great attention and care.
Is there a limit to how many elements I can add?
While we strive to accommodate your vision, the limit is generally determined by the physical size and style of the jewelry piece you select. Delicate rings have less surface area than large pendants. If you are unsure whether your chosen design can hold multiple inclusions, please reach out to our team before ordering.
How will certain materials affect the piece’s final look?
Every piece is unique due to natural variations in materials like breastmilk, ashes, or hair. For instance, breastmilk naturally ranges from a white to creamy, translucent, or light yellow hues. Ashes can also range from a dark gray to a light tan or beige color. As a result, your piece can end up looking different from our website’s jewelry samples.
However, our commitment to handcrafting your pieces ensures that your order requirements will be fulfilled, and your keepsake will be artfully made.
