When Should I Order Memorial Jewelry for Christmas?

When Should I Order Memorial Jewelry for Christmas?

Christmas is a time for celebrating love, family, and the memories we hold close. For someone remembering a loved one or celebrating a meaningful connection, a personalized piece of memorial jewelry can be a thoughtful and deeply personal gift.

But unlike ready-to-ship jewelry, custom memorial keepsakes take time to create.

If you're planning to give breastmilk jewelry, ashes jewelry, or another personalized keepsake for Christmas, ordering early and understanding the full production process are especially important.

Here's what to know before placing your order.

How Early Should I Order Custom Memorial Jewelry for Christmas?

We recommend planning as early as possible, ideally allowing several months before Christmas.

For most Love Catcher custom memorial jewelry, our standard production time is approximately 6–8 weeks after we receive your sample.

However, this is only the production stage.

Your overall timeline may also include:

  1. Sample kit delivery: Receiving the kit or instructions needed to prepare your sample.

  2. Sample preparation and return: Preparing and sending your breastmilk, ashes, hair, or other materials.

  3. Custom production: Approximately 6–8 weeks after your sample reaches us.

  4. Final shipping: Delivery of your finished jewelry to your address.

Because each stage takes time, ordering early gives you more flexibility and reduces the pressure of a holiday deadline.

Please note: Ordering early improves your chances of receiving your jewelry before Christmas, but delivery by a specific date cannot be guaranteed.

Does Production Start When I Place My Order?

Not necessarily.

For custom memorial jewelry requiring a physical sample, the production timeline begins after we receive your sample, not when you place your order.

For example, if you place an order in October but your sample does not arrive until November, your production timeline will begin in November.

This is particularly important when ordering memorial jewelry as a Christmas gift.

Once you receive your sample kit or preparation instructions, we recommend following the directions carefully and returning your materials promptly.

If you're unsure how to send your sample, please contact our Customer Support Team before mailing anything.

Can I Rush My Memorial Jewelry Order for Christmas?

Love Catcher offers a Rush Service for eligible custom orders.

Our Rush Service is designed to shorten the production timeline to approximately 4 weeks after sample receipt, with an additional fee of USD $100.

However, Rush Service applies to production time only.

It does not include:

  • Sample kit delivery

  • The time needed to send your sample to us

  • Shipping time for your finished jewelry

Rush availability may also depend on the design and current production capacity.

If you are hoping to receive your jewelry before Christmas, we strongly recommend contacting our Customer Support Team to confirm whether Rush Service is suitable for your order.

What If Christmas Is Getting Close?

If Christmas is approaching and you haven't ordered yet, don't worry about rushing into a decision.

Custom memorial jewelry often contains irreplaceable materials, so careful preparation and craftsmanship should always come before an unrealistic deadline.

If there isn't enough time to complete the jewelry before Christmas, consider giving a thoughtful card or letter explaining the keepsake you would like to create.

For example:

"This Christmas, I'd love to help you create something special to keep their memory close. We can choose the design together whenever you're ready."

This allows the recipient to participate in choosing the jewelry and gives the gift meaning beyond Christmas Day itself.

Should Memorial Jewelry Be a Surprise Christmas Gift?

Memorial jewelry can be an incredibly meaningful Christmas gift, but it is also deeply personal.

If the piece will contain someone else's ashes, breastmilk, hair, or another sentimental material, we recommend involving the recipient before placing the order.

They may have preferences about the design, the materials used, or whether they feel ready to create a keepsake.

Sometimes, offering to create a piece together can be more meaningful than presenting a finished surprise.

There is no need to rush someone's personal decision simply because Christmas is approaching.

Can I Check the Progress of My Christmas Order?

Yes.

If you have already placed an order and would like to check its progress, you can contact our Customer Support Team.

You can also visit our website chat and type "Track My Order" to access available order-tracking assistance.

Please keep in mind that custom production timelines and shipping updates are separate stages, so tracking information may not be available until your finished jewelry has shipped.

Plan Ahead for a Meaningful Christmas Gift

A custom memorial keepsake is more than a piece of jewelry. It may preserve breastmilk, ashes, hair, or another treasured connection to someone you love.

Taking time to choose the right design and prepare your materials carefully helps make the experience more meaningful.

If you're considering memorial jewelry for Christmas, start by reviewing our custom production timeline guide.

You can also explore our Ashes Jewelry Collection and Breastmilk Jewelry Collection to find a design that feels right.

The most meaningful gifts aren't always the ones that arrive on a particular day. They're the ones that carry love and memories for years to come.
