How Much Hair Should I Send?
We only need a very small amount of hair to create your custom memorial piece. We request a lock that is at least 1 inch (2.5 cm) in length, and roughly the thickness of two toothpicks or a matchstick.
If the hair is shorter than 1 inch, or if you have less than the recommended thickness, please contact our support team before sending. In many cases, our artisans can still work with smaller amounts by carefully placing individual strands into the design.
How should I package the hair for shipping?
Please place the hair inside a small, secure ziplock bag. To ensure your inclusion is perfectly matched to your jewelry, write your order number and full name clearly on the outside of the bag using a permanent marker. Once sealed, simply place the ziplock bag into a standard shipping envelope.
Can I send hair from multiple individuals in one order?
Yes, you can include hair from multiple people or pets in a single keepsake, depending on the design you choose. Just please package each individual's hair in its own separate ziplock bag, labeled with the person/pet’s name and your order number. Please also clearly indicate how you would like them combined or placed within your jewelry.
What happens to any hair that is not used?
We treat every strand with the highest reverence. Any leftover hair that is not fully integrated into your keepsake will be carefully packaged and returned to you alongside your finished jewelry piece.
Does the hair need to be a specific color or texture?
No, we work with all hair types, colors, and textures, including straight, curly, coarse, fine, dyed, or gray hair. The unique characteristics of the hair will beautifully reflect the individuality of your loved one.
Can I send pet hair or fur instead of human hair?
Absolutely. We create many keepsakes using pet fur. The same measurement guidelines apply: aim for a lock that is 1 inch long and the thickness of two toothpicks.
